Hey! I'm Shira Galler

I'm a design student in Queens College

I’ve always been drawn to the idea of beauty. As a child, I was always coloring on the sides of my notebooks in school and experimenting with all forms of crafts. I jumped at any opportunity to express my creativity and to bring a little bit of color into this world. As I grew older, I tried to channel my passion for beauty and creativity into the form of graphic design. I am currently pursuing my BFA in graphic design at Queens College. This outlet finally gave me the opportunity to use my creativity to help society. My favorite projects are ones that challenge me to think about my values or societal norms and how I can convey that in an image. I particularly enjoy experimenting with type and color to express ideas and messages. I try to infuse my work with imagination and creativity, but also organization and thoughtfulness. The world of design never fails to excite me with its endless opportunities to engage with the world around me.

Although I'm enjoying my design classes, it feels like I've been in college forever... this is how many classes I've taken per semester
